If your ear has an infection from wearing an earring with a wire or post, you may be able to take care of the problem with items you already have at home.
Remove the earrings and soak them in a cup with rubbing alcohol or a safe dish liquid detergent and water – just enough to cover the earrings. Wash your ear lobes with clean soap and water, then apply Neosporin or any Antibiotic Ointment on your ear lobes. After you rinse the ear wires or posts with clean water, thinly apply a layer of the Antibiotic ointment on the part that goes into your ear. In so doing , you move the healing ointment inside the ear lobe where you cannot see. Put the earrings back on again. Your ears should be just fine in a day or two! See a doctor if it doesn’t clean up fast, please. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT soak Turquoise or other porous stones in anything! Take the time to clean the wires or posts by hand and be safe. Thank you!
